Here’s what our clients have to say
I engaged Steve to sort out the mess that was my back garden. He listened to my thoughts and identified underlying problems of impeded drainage and failed soak holes.
Working with me he came up with a “flowing” design for a romantic garden incorporating my love of clematis and roses, as well as my desire for a small woodland.
Steve fixed the drainage and then installed brick edging and a delightful curved path, enclosing contoured gardens. Lawns were properly levelled and sown, the woodland planted and winding paths formed. Interesting long views have been created from my kitchen and lounge, and the lovely garden and spaces bring me joy each day.
Steve impresses me with his multi skills, his knowledge of plants, and his attention to detail. I can thoroughly recommend him to anyone wanting a pleasing landscape that will stand the test of time.
We had always been aware of Steve’s reputation as a very competent horticulturalist and landscape designer, so had no hesitation in choosing him to develop and design a landscape plan for our recently completed home.
This involved creating an overall design that would complement the early 20th century style homestead and ensure that it looked well settled into the surrounding lawns and gardens.
As a project of major significance for us, the end result had to be right. Throughout the process Steve consulted continually with us thereby ensuring we were happy with what was taking shape, and he was always willing to implement any modifications that we thought necessary.
As part of the landscaping Steve designed and built an extensive patio/belvedere at the northern end of the house. This was a major project in itself that further extended the living area and with which we are very delighted.
Steve’s knowledge of trees and plants is extensive and we have been very happy to accept his advice when it came to selecting the appropriate varieties.
The whole project was completed within the allowed timeframe and we consider the result to be quite stunning.

Steve did some landscaping for us in 2006 as part of a redesign of our country garden. The job included drainage, paving, concrete garden edging and a pergola for the garden at the front of the house, and built raised planter boxes for our kitchen garden. He also made some sliding wooden doors for our shade house, which we were delighted with.
Steve was very reliable, thorough and listened to what we wanted. He was a pleasure to work with, and we are very pleased with his workmanship and the final product.
We would happily recommend Steve’s services to others.

After completion of a long awaited house renovation, the one thing lacking was the garden landscaping, particularly at the main entrance to the house. As a fairly novice gardener I was at a loss to know what to do, other than wanting easy care and native plants.
From beginning to end, Steve made the whole process easy. His passion for landscaping, great knowledge of plants, and artistic talent came through right at the planning stage and I went into the project with every confidence of achieving a great result.
Thanks to Steve, the house now has a stunning front entrance – his clever placement of rocks and choice of plants have resulted in an area of great impact – often drawing comments from visitors.
Steve communicated his plans well and was able to work to a time frame and a realistic budget. He also took on board my thoughts and ideas, and used his creativity and innovation to make existing features and materials work in the final design.
Thrilled with the new landscaping and looking forward to having Steve back to do some more.
